The Storm King is a male satyr-like creature who appears as the main antagonist of My Little Pony The Movie. Claire and Illusion have a bond that cannot be shaken, they have shared in each others happiness and shouldered one another during times of great grief. Illusion is above all a performer, and while the musical influence she brings to the group is as hard to pin down as everything else she does, she blends the performance potential of ballads, with the attention grabbing power of thrash. This energy, though, feeds perfectly into the performance of a heavy metal band, as the conflict permeates the music, and strengthens the band's authenticity. The band struggles to remain patient with her, as she has an off-putting way of both grounding the band with the self-control she exudes, and keeping them on their hooves by spreading mistrust and conflict, only enough to prevent complacency. Everything Illusion does is somehow shrouded in its intent, by her purposefully disorienting approach to everything. Illusion believes that the night should be embraced and celebrated no less than her band-mates do, but for entirely different reasons.
Being an earth pony with a talent for misdirection which often seems like magic, only furthers her mercurial nature. , she aids in the fight against the Knights of Harmony, making an illusion of Discord (against whom the Knights bear a long-standing grudge) to draw their. When she is not tormenting her band-mates, she performs as a street magician. The bassist, and one of the lyricist/singers for a black metal band out of Tall Tale, she brings a unique confusion to the group and their music. Illusion is an enigma, and quite happy to be so.
